Rational emotive behavioral therapy for coronary artery disease patients undergoing coronary artery bypass grafting
The article presents an analysis of the influence of rational behavioral psychotherapy methods on the mental status of patients with coronary heart disease and coronary artery bypass grafting in the perioperative period. The psychological work consisted of using such methods of rational behavioral therapy as rehearsal of adaptive behavior, systematic desensitization, keeping a rehabilitation diary, cognitive restructuring, muscle relaxation according to E. Jacobson before and after surgery. The results of the study showed that the use of rational behavioral psychotherapy methods in providing psychological assistance affects the formation of adaptive variants of the internal picture of the disease and productive models of coping behavior in patients with coronary heart disease.
